There has never been a more comprehensive resource available to teachers that does what The Literacy Continuum does—provide specific behaviors and understandings that are required at each grade level for each continua. These behaviors and understandings describe what students will be expected to do in order to effectively read, write, and understand texts.

In this virtual one-day workshop, you'll explore the eight continua that comprise The Fountas & Pinnell Literacy Continuum, Expanded Edition: A Tool for Assessment, Planning, and Teaching:

  • Writing About Reading
  • Writing

  • Phonics, Spelling, and Word Study
  • Guided Reading

If you are a PreK-8 classroom teacher, literacy coach, reading/language arts specialist, curriculum coordinator, or administrator looking to learn how this resource supports students' development of the literacy process, this is the workshop for you.

Each workshop will run from 8:30am-3:30pm in the noted time zone and registration includes a copy of The Fountas & Pinnell Literacy Continuum, Expanded Edition, which will be mailed to you.
