Remote Learning Guide Coming Soon Blog 2

There are many difficult decisions being made right now around the physical aspects of teaching for the fall—Will classrooms be virtual, in-person, or a combination of the two? How will this work and how can educators plan their lessons with fidelity in such uncertain times?

To help provide direction, the Fountas & Pinnell Literacy™ Team is working diligently on Remote Teaching and Learning Guidelines for users of Fountas & Pinnell Benchmark Assessment SystemsFountas & Pinnell Classroom™, and Leveled Literacy Intervention. These guidelines will be in video format, and offer suggestions for remote teaching and learning and provide overall guidance to help educators plan for the upcoming school year.

Starting early September, Heinemann will release nine videos (BAS, LLI, and seven total for FPC—one per instructional context) for verified product owners. First to release is the “Remote Teaching and Learning Guidelines: Suggestions for Users of the Fountas & Pinnell Benchmark Assessment System.” The BAS guidelines are anticipated to post in customers' Online Resources accounts by early September and will offer educators remote teaching and learning suggestions for assessing reading levels this fall.
