Make a Timeline
Encourage your students/child to think about some of the important events in their lives. These events can be small or large. Have your students/child make a list of 5-10 important events in their lives. For example, students might include a time they traveled to a new or faraway place, the birth of a younger sibling, getting a new pet, trying a new sport/activity, participating in an important event, etc. When their lists are done, have students create a timeline of these important events (they can estimate dates). Then have them choose one event from their timeline to write and/or draw about.
