Talk About Being Brave

Talk with the child about everyday things that are scary or difficult to do, like standing up to someone bigger than you on the playground, and how it feels when this happens. The child can also share times when they’ve done something brave that they’re proud of, like learning to ride a bike. Use construction paper and scissors to cut out stars, and have the child write a moment of bravery on each star. (For example, “I road my bike by myself, even though I was scared.”)
