Talk About the Weather
Talk with the child about how to prepare for different kinds of weather. Ask: What do you wear when it’s raining outside? What do you wear when it’s sunny? (windy, snowy, etc.) What is fun about playing outside in different kinds of weather? Give the child drawing paper and drawing materials such as crayons, markers, or paints. Have the child divide the paper in half horizontally. In the top half of the paper, have them draw a picture of themselves playing on a sunny day. On the bottom half, have them draw a picture of themselves playing on a rainy day (inside or outside).
