Brainstorm with the child the vocabulary they might use in writing a card to a family member to express their love for that person (for example, "special," "kind," "love"). Give the child a piece of cardstock and a variety of art materials to create their special card. Discuss with the child some of the reasons they appreciate that family member, and then send the card.
