Make an Alphabet Tree
Work with the child to use construction paper to cut out the trunk of a tree and glue it to a large blank piece of paper. With paper cutout letters, stamps, markers, or paint, have the child decorate the top of the tree with "leaves" made of letters: the whole alphabet, or their names, or spell out other special words. Choose green for summer, red and orange for autumn, or crazy colors for your own unique creation.
