Act Out Songs
Sing the song “The Itsy Bitsy Spider” several times until the child is familiar with it. Teach the hand movements for the spider climbing up the spout. Ask the child to create their own movements for the rain coming down, the sun coming out, and the rain drying up. Invite the child to create actions for other familiar nursery rhymes, such as “Hickory Dickory Dock.”
