Keep a Gratitude Journal

Keep a Gratitude Journal

Have your child keep a gratitude journal: on a regular basis, write lists of things they appreciate. The child should be as specific as possible about the things they are grateful for. For example, instead of saying you are thankful for food, say you are thankful for the perfect amount of peanut butter spread between your favorite crustless bread. Instead of saying you are thankful for your family, say you are thankful for 15 minutes of cuddling and reading with your mom before you go to bed.
