Explore Friendship Visually

Invite the student to think creatively about what friends and friendship mean to them. Encourage them to think about the messages in books they’ve read, and brainstorm some words that describe friendship and the feelings it evokes. The student can use images from magazines and found objects, or they can draw, paint, or use other creative media to explore and create a visual representation (such as a collage or a multimedia presentation) of their feelings about friendship. Encourage creativity. The student can focus on one friendship, or they can focus on the idea of friendship as a whole.
