Ask Meli! November, 2018

meli-3Meli hopes you are having a super year and are reading lots and lots of good books! Meli is excited to share some of her letters with you! Here are some from students at St. Anthony School of Milwaukee in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. See what Meli's answers were!

Q: Hi Meli, I read almost all of your books. How was school? Do you like dog treats? Have you see the vet many times? Are you still spilling your water? You are a fun dog. How is Ron treating you? I am 10 years old, in fourth grade. I live in Milwaukee. It is chilly here. Do you play in the snow? I want a little dog like you someday. Say hello to Ron! Love Alfredo

A: Hi Alfredo! It was so nice to hear from you! You asked some great questions! I like dog treats, but cantaloupe is my favorite snack! I still spill water sometimes, I can be messy! I learned a lot of things at dog school, it was so much fun! Keep reading! Woof! Meli

Q: Dear Meli, Does the vet cost a lot Meli? Do you mean when you are hot in the book? You are my second favorite dog. His name is Kong, he is fluffy like you. Do you have to brush Meli? Where did you buy the tooth brush? Love Ricardo

A: Hi Ricardo! Thank you so much for the letter, I loved it! I like it when people brush my fur! It helps keep my fur nice and clean. And it feels nice! I also brush my teeth with chicken flavored tooth paste to keep them healthy! Keep reading! Woof! Meli

Q: Dear Meli, You are the best dog, Meli! How are you? I love the story Taking Care of Meli. What do you have in your house?

A: Hi Jennifer! I loved hearing from you! Your drawing was great! I keep all my dog toys, like my red ball and rubber chicken in the house. They are a lot of fun to play with! I also have my dog bed and red blanket! They are super cozy! Keep reading! Woof! Meli

Q: Dear Meli, Are you good to Ron? I love to read books. How are you doing? Is Ron taking care of Meli? You are my favorite dog. Do you like Ron when he brushes you? Are you mean? Do you like toothbrushes? Do you like going to the vet? I like you Meli. Do you like going to the pet shop? Love David

A: Hi David! It was great to hear from you! I loved your drawing! It's so good to hear you like my books! I like getting my fur brushed, its relaxing! Plus it makes my fur look nice and shiny! Keep reading! Woof Meli

Q: Dear Meli, I love reading books about you. The favorite book I like was when you went to the vet. When the vet gave you a shot, you were so still! Better than me getting a shot! I go to school in St. Anthony School. My teacher is Mr. Borga. I do reading and math. At the end of the day I like talking to my friends. When I play the game I want to play with my friends Yahir and Adam, it is fun. How many books are you in? Do you have any babies? Is Ron very responsible for you? Do you play outside a bunch? I do! What food do you eat? I hope you have a great day! Love Yandel

A: Hi Yandel! I loved getting your letter! Your school sounds like a lot of fun! I love to play outside, when I go to the dog park I always make new dog friends! My favorite treat is cantaloupe, it's super yummy! Keep reading! Woof! Meli
