Make Bear Hunt Binoculars
Collect paper towel or toilet paper tubes and provide them to the child with art supplies. Start by decorating two empty cardboard tubes (two toilet paper or one paper towel tube cut in half). You can use decorative duct or washi tape to wrap around the end of the tube. Create a space between the two tubes by cutting a small piece of cardboard and folding down the sides. Glue or tape to each side of the cardboard tubes creating the bridge of the binoculars. Punch a hole into either side of the binoculars and attach a long piece of yarn through the holes. The child can use these as they reenact "We’re Going on a Bear Hunt" around the classroom. As they reenact the story, the child can play a repeating game. For example, together play the call and repeat game, “I went walking,” with the reply, “What do you see?” and the answer "I saw a _____ _____ looking at me."
