Make a Timeline

Have the student think about the important events in their lives. These events can be small or large, as long as they are significant for the student. Have them make a list of 5-10 important events in their lives. For example, the student might include a time they traveled to a new or faraway place, the birth of a younger sibling, their first day of school, or participating in an important event like a soccer game or a school concert. When their lists are completed, have the student create a timeline of these important events (they can estimate dates). Then have them choose one event from their timeline to write and draw about.
