Creating Change

Creating Change

Invite the student to spend some time thinking about something that they would like to change or improve upon in their own life or in their community. Encourage them to choose something they’re passionate about. The student can brainstorm the challenge and determine how they can work to create change related to a specific issue. Have the student decide upon a plan of action, define a goal, and outline the steps needed to achieve that goal. Help them to establish reasonable goals and a timeline. Have the child work steadily towards this goal for two weeks or a month, with a mid-point check-in and a summary of the final outcome.
