Create a Giving Tree

Create a Giving Tree by drawing the trunk of a tree and bare branches on a piece of paper, and then cutting out a dozen leaves. Every time your child gives joy to someone else or shows generosity towards others, or anytime your child notices generosity demonstrated by someone else, have them write what happened on a leaf and then tape or glue the leaf to a branch on the tree. (You may need to explain that giving does not mean giving away things).
