Observe Animals

Have the child seek inside or safely outside for animals such as ants, flies, spiders, worms, pill bugs, butterflies, moths, caterpillars, lizard, snails, or slugs (or go to a pet store, zoo, or local shelter). The student can observe the animals and with special attention to body parts, behavior, eating habits, and physical appearance. The student can take notes and make sketches of their observations.
