Preserve Flowers
Set up a table to create a space for pressing flowers. Get flowers that are well hydrated and still in bud form or that are freshly bloomed. Demonstrate for the student how to press a flower. Place the flower between two plain pieces of printer paper, and place them within the pages of a heavy book such as a dictionary or phone book. Use more books to weigh down the book once it’s closed. Change the blotter sheets every few days, and after two to three weeks, the flowers will be completely dry.
