Create a Nonfiction Story with Photos
Invite the student to select photos showing family members or an event from their lives (the student can take photos specifically for this project). Have the student choose 3–4 photos and write a brief nonfiction text using the photos as illustrations. Talk about how the photos enhance the information and make the stories more engaging. Ask: How would these stories be different if they were illustrated instead?
