Read a Song, Sketch a Song
Play your child's favorite song or sing it together. Talk about what makes this song a favorite. Have your child write down their favorite lyric, verse or even the chorus. Encourage your child to:
- write about why they like this song or what the main idea of the song is;
- create a sketch that illustrates the lyric;
- draw a picture that represents how they feel when they listen to the song:
- write a new verse to the song and perform it.
