Learn About the Ocean

Use Technology to Learn About the Ocean

Browse Internet resources like the aquariums listed in the Fountas & Pinnell Remote Learning Link Pack to learn about undersea creatures, such as fish, shellfish, and mammals. After reading, looking at photographs, and watching live cams, have the child generate a list of words that describe some of the details they notice, such as what colors and size each creature is, and what other interesting characteristics they have. Using the list, have the child write a sentence on blank paper that tells about one of the creatures, and have them draw a picture to go with their sentence.
