Do Kind Things

Do Kind Things

Discuss how family members show they care in big and small ways, like making a meal, helping clean up, giving a hug, spending time together, saying I love you. Have the child brainstorm a list of kind or helpful things they can do for a family member, and together write each thing on a slip of paper. Keep the slips of paper in a cup or a hat, and select one slip for an act of kindness to perform every day until all of the slips are gone. After that, have the child write down or draw pictures about the experience of performing the acts of kindness.
