Observe Plant Samples

Observe Plant Samples

Share a variety of fruits and vegetables sliced in halves or quarters so seeds are easily observable. (If necessary, get permission and take allergies into account, even though the child will not eat the fruits and vegetables). Display the various fruits and vegetables, along with magnifying glasses, on a table and allow the child time to study them. Provide art materials and have the child choose one fruit or vegetable to draw (pay careful attention to texture, color, size, and shape).
