Looking to go paperless? Fountas & Pinnell offer a suite of digital apps to use in your classroom for greater convenience and efficiency. 

The Fountas & Pinnell Reading Record App

This is an efficient alternative to taking a Reading Record on paper. With the Fountas & Pinnell Reading Record Apps, teachers can capture and analyze running record data on their iPad and sync results wirelessly to the Online Data Management System.

 

Features: 

  • Automatically times the conference and calculates rates and ratios
  • Uploads completed student Reading Records to the Online Data Management System for long-term, secure data management (subscription required - read more)
  • Imports existing Online Data Management System classes or groups to the iPad Apps
  • Saves the Reading Record as a PDF
  • Available for iPad users.

The Fountas & Pinnell Prompting Guide Apps

The Prompting Guide Apps, available in English and Spanish, and the Genre Prompting Guide Apps for fiction and nonfiction, are easy-access tools that you can use to enhance your teaching power. Use this app as a ready reference while working with students in several instructional contexts including guided reading lessons; intervention lessons; shared reading; independent reading; reading and writing conferences; and dictated, independent, and interactive writing.
