Find a Rainbow in the Kitchen

Find a Rainbow in The Kitchen

Have children brainstorm lists of different foods and the color associated with that food for every color of the rainbow: red (like apples), orange (like carrots), yellow (like bananas), green (like celery), blue (like blueberries), dark blue/indigo (like eggplants), and purple (like plums). In a notebook, have the child write down the name of the color, the corresponding food that they found, and draw a picture of that food. Alternatively, have the child write out the names of colors on slips of paper, and place the labels on corresponding food that they find.
